For 249 years imperfect people have been working to make America a “more perfect union.” And for 74 of those years, I’ve regularly felt like I won the lottery to live in a country whose moral architecture in the Declaration of Independence rewards confidence, honor, decency and optimism. Even though most of us are given to stubborn binary thinking and “othering” (maybe this is where coaches can help), this is still a place where people like us can grow and create, overcome obstacles, live and let live, and be both blessed and a blessing. No matter how we got here, we’re all pilgrims. Maybe someday I’ll write a book I’ll call, The Pilgrim’s Improv.
Anyhoo. Speaking of pilgrims. This week’s Happy Hour was blessed with 15 of them and I’m still smiling. Join us for the next one on August 5 where we’ll opine about what to do at this year’s Coachtoberfest! (If you can believe it, SeattleCoach will be 17 years old). Of huge interest to me lately is finding ways to:
Continue showing the world what great coaching looks like, and
to make SeattleCoaches (some of the best in the world) more findable.
Headlines . . .
If you’re a SeattleCoach graduate, all of the articles, biz dev stuff, and video series from the old website + some great conversation, now live in Mighty Networks. As a graduate, you have full access, you just need to click right here, and we’ll approve your membership.
Also, speaking of becoming more findable, if you’re a SeattleCoach graduate, do I have the best link for you on our coaches’ page? LMK.
Again, the next Virtual Happy Hour happens on Tuesday, August 5. As always, Four o'clock (PT). Forty-Five Minutes. Fun. Fascinating. Friends. Free. Please bring your stories, questions + a beverage. Here’s the Zoom link.
And this year’s in-person Coachtoberfest is ON for Tuesday, October 7. Save the date! Registration opens soon.
Finally, if you’ve just discovered this Substack and you’re SeattleCoach-Curious, click right here and we’ll tell you more. Our next “Flagship” Cohort #51 begins in September.
